Zibanchinka are three girls and one guy from Kagoshima, Japan's most southwesterly tip, playing short,
sharp, high octane garage punk, with gleefully messed up arrangements, all delivered with vocalist
Iguz' hyperactive vocals, switching styles effortlessly from punk screecher, to hopped up cartoon
character, to washed up, alcoholic chanteuse.

influenced new wave, and spoken word English and Japanese lyrics delivered with icy
precision by the two female vocalists. Recalling Stereolab, The Flying Lizards, Gang of Four, Wire,
and other classic post-punk and art pop bands, Trinitron's sound is cold and cynical, but laced with dry humour.

Fukuoka post-punk/junk merchants Hyacca's second mini-album hones and tightens the band's sound, while
retaining the accessible, pop-inflected edge that made their debut so appealing. The aggression is
still there, but it's more focussed and more dangerous this time.

powerful, driving rhythms. Mir draw inspiration from bands such as Joy Division, Neu!, The Raincoats,
and New Order, but create something magical and unique.

CAR-97 Hyacca: Sashitai

01 Angel Fish
02 RIOT
03 Sashitai
04 Sick Girl
05 Single Coil
04 TELEPHONE NUMBER
05 Skyline
Price (Japanese Yen): 1500 (+postage)
Fukuoka post-punk band Hyacca take a malicious glee in attacking the listener from every angle
they can think of, and often several at the same time. Sashitai is a rollercoaster through ambient,
shoegazer influenced soundscapes, catchy new wave pop melodies, brutal intrusions of noise and
discord, and intense, high octane punk rock. It would be terrifying if they weren't obviously having
so much fun... which actually makes it more terrifying.
