The latest single by London's most promising scenesters shows them build still further on the promise of their early demos. With "Stumble And Fall" Razorlight are sounding more and more like themselves, the economical, efficient production of Steve Lillywhite particularly well suited to their crystal-clear melodies and arrangement.
"Control" is a worthy B-side and a fine incentive for anyone looking for another reason to buy the thing. The demo version of previous single "Rip It Up" which is also included here is an added bonus. They still sound a bit calculated, a problem which I'm starting to suspect is here to stay but in view of their snowballing other merits this could soon become irrelevant. Album soon please. -Ian Martin, Jan.24.04
